In our one word film, i firmly believe we did an amazing job at not only vocalizing our word without the use of words in the film, however we also used effective camera angles at appropriate times. An example of this is when i fell on the floor, with an effective use of a low angle we were able to establish the two girls laughing at me felt dominant, and putting emphasis on how low and vulnerable and embarrassed i was.
After i got up, we switched to a high angle of me(after using a dolly shot) which again emphasized my emotions and paired with an over the shoulder shot and with the panning
we transition to a low angle of me after i portrayed more positive emotions with my ecstatic body language. The shift to a low angle now tells the audience that although i was embarrassed and felt powerless, i motivated myself and became more confident and positive
The next scene includes the actor now smiling, and doing pushups to show how worked up he now is. Dylan the side character is MOTIVATING him whilst doing the pushups which helps convey our word.
He then is seen bumping into a person, however this time due to the exuding of his newly earned confidence and motivation, he bumps the person out the way and noticeably starts to feel himself.
This is characterized further by his happy dance at the end and the use of our angles throughout this scene. We also utilized a nice over the shoulder perspective and a close up of the impact of the 2 people's shoulders colliding, which shows that this event may be important in delivering a message/ the main idea of our film.
