here is the final product i believe! i find it a DRASTIC improvement from my last, and im very happy with the font for my mast head and eyecatchers/captions. the white i believe may change to a brown color on the masthead, however everything else is finalized. The picture is amazing, the lighting, the size, its just all perfect to me!

Developing my magazine pt 1

Welcome back! today, im reworking my cover because it looks pretty weird, but it was made on a different app just to gain more inspiration. heres a picture:

Ignoring the rough picture, this obviously isnt anywhere close to the final draft. i used filler words and pictures just to gain an idea of what i wanted. Next class, i will make sure to somewhat finalize what picture and background i will be using for this magazine.

Props

For this assignment, i will decide, if any, which props and costumes i will include in my magazine. To stat off, the first prop i will consider are leashes/harnesses. Here are pictures of some pictures with animals on harnesses/leashes.

In this picture, the cat seems almost wild and very adventurous. Although i acknowledge that its not only the  tight leash, its also the body language of the cat with the ears pointed up and forwards, and the environment in the background which gives off vibes of the woods. However leashes/harnesses dont always create this effect. In this example below, we see something sort of different.

This cat still has ears pointed up and forwards, however the body language seems more welcoming and friendly/curious.  The leash also has a friendly design  and calm colors which also add to the vibe. Overall i think going with no leash or harness will be the best bet, however this brings me to the next prop, collars.

Collars add to the friendly & cute vibe, i will definitely be using one very similar to this as i already own one similar to it and its very adorable with a very cute pink color. I believe the absence of a collar can completely shift the vibe of a picture and of a cat. A cat with a collar indicates domestication and it being owned by someone, and enforces the PET vibe as this is a PET magazine, not just an animal magazine. A cat with no collar would seem possibly not as groomed and taken care of, and may seem a little wild aswell.

Finally, just a small addition to props would be the addition of feeding/ the food brands.i actually took some pictures of feed for my bearded dragon, and a picture of cat food.

Fancy feast is my personal brand of choice, i still may include it in some pictures or use them for my advertisement.

Here are some sample pictures, these are purposely not professional, however these are just ideas for where i will put the food and the type of food. For the magazine i will have to use my own products as advertisement, so i will have to use the foods i have at home.

Thank you for joining me for my brainstorming, see yall next time .

Location

Today for my project, i am clocking in to figure out where my photoshoots will take place, and the props i will use.

However, i came across some issues that no one else in my class will have to deal with, as the real assignment asks for thing such as makeup, clothing, hair, and jewelry.

And because  im doing a pet magazine there is no way or reason to include such things, hence why i am doing location and props. Even doing these may propose a challenge, as the locations for pet magazines are pretty limited and repetitive. Commonly you always see pictures of these animals cutout and edited on a colored background or normal outdoor pictures and even at-home pictures.

To start with, here are some of my location ideas:

#1: My local dog park.

Dr. Steven G Paul dog park is a local park i often visit to walk the dog, however its a great place for a photoshoot as it includes large grassy areas where the sun shines perfectly on, and i could take my cat nearby this area too just not inside the actual park. Here are some pictures:

#2: At Home

This is one of the best options for my cat specifically, as she loves the indoors and tends to be more playful and relaxed at home. It is very common for pictures of pets in magazines to take place in a home or a background to make it look like a household and is easier to get good lighting.

#3:Beach

Beaches are natural beautiful backdrops, as it brings in senses of joy and freedom, the lavish feeling of living on a beach with the beautiful flowing water coming in aswell. The beach i would use is Deerfield beach, here are some pictures:
