Today for my project, i am clocking in to figure out where my photoshoots will take place, and the props i will use.
However, i came across some issues that no one else in my class will have to deal with, as the real assignment asks for thing such as makeup, clothing, hair, and jewelry.
And because im doing a pet magazine there is no way or reason to include such things, hence why i am doing location and props. Even doing these may propose a challenge, as the locations for pet magazines are pretty limited and repetitive. Commonly you always see pictures of these animals cutout and edited on a colored background or normal outdoor pictures and even at-home pictures.
To start with, here are some of my location ideas:
#1: My local dog park.
Dr. Steven G Paul dog park is a local park i often visit to walk the dog, however its a great place for a photoshoot as it includes large grassy areas where the sun shines perfectly on, and i could take my cat nearby this area too just not inside the actual park. Here are some pictures:
#2: At Home
This is one of the best options for my cat specifically, as she loves the indoors and tends to be more playful and relaxed at home. It is very common for pictures of pets in magazines to take place in a home or a background to make it look like a household and is easier to get good lighting.
#3:Beach
Beaches are natural beautiful backdrops, as it brings in senses of joy and freedom, the lavish feeling of living on a beach with the beautiful flowing water coming in aswell. The beach i would use is Deerfield beach, here are some pictures:
